Rafael Grossi, - Director General, IAEA - BBC HARDtalk
What is the point of the world’s nuclear watchdog the International Atomic Energy Agency? Its task is to ensure that countries intent on developing nuclear power don’t use their programmes as cover for development of weapons of mass destruction. But is the task impossible? HARDtalk’s Stephen Sackur speaks to the new IAEA chief, Rafael Grossi. From the continued bitter arguments over Iran, to North Korea, and Saudi Arabia, is the IAEA another example of a global agency undermined by geopolitical division?

Her interview skills are horrible. She should be on MSNBC with her consistent interruptions and her obvious agenda. The guest handled himself adeptly and stayed on the high ground. I have read Jack's book. It's a fascinating look into the inside of Washington D.C. while being hilarious at times.

During the Cold War and the Space Race, "Russia" or the "Russians" or just "Communists" were the names used in politics, the press and public life for our ideological adversary. The use of the term "Soviets" for the Russians is a later usage that was brought into common parlance by right wing ideologues during the Reagan (and Thatcher) administrations in the 1980s. Nobody ever called them that at the time discussed in this interview. The interviewer should have done some homework and he's quite rude as well in not letting Michael Collins finish his thoughts.

That is the friendliest interview I have ever seen with Donald Trump. The guy actually talked to him like a person. It's not the snarky, condensending tone of interview. And it certainly makes it much easier to watch than the nasty "gotcha" type of interview. I tried to watch the Barbara Walters interview from '92, but she was just soready to pounce on him for everything, i couldn't get through it. I don't understand why reporters think the "gotcha" type of interview is agood interview. It makes everyone feel hostile, even those watching it. It's just a nasty way to talk to people.
